Computer Shop Timaru was established in 1993 as a result of demand from Computer Software Library NZ customers looking for computer systems. and support in the local Timaru area. From this it has eveolved as IT services have, into one of the leading Sales, Service and Support companies in the local area.

Retail is always the first impression the name Computer Shop Timaru (CST) gives. Being fully independent we are in a position to supply whatever is the best fit to the market. We are also able to give completely independent advice.

Offering prebuilt systems from HP, Compaq, Acer, Toshiba and other brands as required. We will also produce custom built PCs or one from our selected configurations options in store. However Retail is only part of the CST picture.

Service is a key component with CST. Anyone can sell something, but it takes skill, training and commitment to service what you sell and stay for the long haul. Many computer businesses have come and gone but CST is still here and going stronger then ever. At CST we have always had skilled technicians on staff to support what we sell.  We not only service our own systems but also take casual work on. However priority is always given to CST supplied systems to ensure our customers get the best possible service.

Our skill levels are also recognised by HP, Acer and Epson (to mention a few) who use CST for local service and support work. CST is the only local Epson Authorised service centre.

Commercial support is now the single biggest sector CST is involved in. All sectors of the local business community now rely on their IT infrastructure to deliver their products and services. Keeping this going is becoming an ever increasing segment of CST's operations.
